Until recently, most doctors and medical associations have told you that you don't need to take health supplements if you eat a well-balanced diet with a wide variety of foods. We completely agree that health supplements are not a substitute for a healthy diet. Choosing your foods from ALL of the food groups and eating a wide variety of foods from those groups is essential to your overall health.
